Inauguration of Telecentre in Sindhupalchowk District of Nepal

Inaugration of Telecentre in Sidhupalchowk
The Chief Guest Dr. Lharkyal Lama, Constitutional Assembly Member inaugurated the Telecentre by lighting a candle

Dr. Lharkyal Lama, Constitutional Assembly Member, told the media that now-a-days thousands of Nepali people work in several foreign countries and when they do not know about how to operate the internet and computer, they cannot live up to the standards of foreign countries and will face acute problems and be considered backward.

The signboard of Telecentre

The Chief Guest, Dr. Lama said this during an inauguration speech of a telecentre in Mankha Village Development Committee of Sindhupalchowk district of Nepal, adding that all people whether they are rural or urban should have equal access to information irrespective of religion, race, ethnicity.

He emphasized that Nepal is the country of Hindu's and Buddhist's, so ICT could be a best tool to attract tourists who are interested in these religions and cultures. Gradually, such telecenters would  contribute significantly to the elimination of poverty throughout Nepal as we expand the network of such telecentres in other villages.
