The Chief District Officer (CDO) , Hari Bahadur Bastola said “This is the age of information- that is power.” Mr Bastola was the Chief guest speaker during the inauguration of Mandavwi Public ICT Access Services (telecentre) in Liwang, district headquarters of Rolpa, held on Nov.25, 2009. He also added that this telecentre would provide services to the marginalized people of Rolpa, in the mid-western development region- one of the most remote and poorest districts of Nepal.

Bhakta Raj Ranjit, Chairperson of Synergy Nepal expressed that the telcentre would adopt a desirable model by providing quality services to poor inhabitants of Rolpa district and charging reasonable amounts from clients in order to be financially self sufficient and to minimize dependency.
